The RC22 Foundation strives to impact and support communities from Robinson Cano’s hometown of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic through specific programs that help influence the lives of the people within these communities.
RC22 DREAM School: The foundation’s biggest, ongoing project is the development of this Montessori school in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. The RC22DREAM School opened November 24th, 2015 and is offering holistic community and employment training programs for residents. See more info and updates here.
Athletic Programs: Thousands of baseball uniforms and cleats are provided by the foundation to high-need youth baseball leagues in Cano’s hometown of San Pedro de Macoris.
Community Goodwill and Holiday Program: The Foundation hosts its annual Three Kings Day holiday program in San Pedro de Macoris. Over the past three years, the foundation has distributed toys to over 45 communities and over 8000 children. In 2015, the foundation provided bilingual alphabet tablets, toy trucks, dolls, and Crayola toys to enrich the lives of children from impoverished batey communities (located within sugar cane plantations) and from within the city limits of San Pedro de Macoris.
